Not sure about this one. It’s a work in progress. Looked nice as a sketch and it might be the start of a series of lollipop tree pics.
Open to suggestions as I don’t think this is quiet right yet…

I like it, but I’m not sure if the bottom half of the tree trunk is actual trunk or shadow.
Your absolutely right. I struggled with it and then the lazy artist part of me decided that was part of the mystery of the scene…
