Bradley Wiggins visited Barnoldswick, back in mid-August. Although I’m not a huge sports fan, I took the opportunity to photograph the man himself, as well as hundreds of other cyclists that had joined him for a tour round the Pendle countryside. He was launching his Bradley Wiggins Foundation with the Ride with Brad event in his first post-Olympic public appearance.
I’m not a professional photographer, so I took the chance to shoot the bikes in motion – happy to have some motion blur and capture the speed rather than a crisp shot of the rider. I’m pretty happy with my shot of Bradley, but what made me really smile was the guy that followed him…
In fact, the guy that had flown all the way from America to cycle with his hero.
